Baseball Diamonds: Maple Creek has some of the best baseball facilities in Southwest Saskatchewan. Some of the events that we have hosted in the past include, Provincials for Pee Wee and Bantam “A” baseball in 1998 and 2000, Twiliters mini tournament in 2003 consisting of 16 teams, Twiliters combined Mini-Maxi tournament in 2005 with 22 teams,Tier 2 Southern Alberta High School Baseball Association in 2012, Slo-Pitch tournaments and Minor Baseball tournaments.
The facilities include a dedicated senior hardball diamond, a fastball diamond, a Bantam / Midget diamond and a Mosquito and under diamond. All are complete with dugouts, red-shale infields and grass outfields. A part time maintenance person under the direction of the Centennial Park Development Committee oversees maintenance and scheduling. In addition to the Centennial park diamonds, we have 3 red-shale and backstop diamonds at the High school and Sidney Street School.
Basketball Court: Part of Centennial Park includes a full sized outdoor basketball court. The court includes regulation size hoops and full court markings.
Skate Park: Part of the Centennial Park revitalization in 2011, we are very proud of our skate park. Our skateboard park has been newly surfaced with cutting edge ‘Ramp Armour’. This public facility has ramps and grinding rails for skateboarders to enjoy.
Spray Park: Recognized by Communities in Bloom as a green initiative due to the recycling of the water, the spary park was opened in 2011. Many a happy child has raced through. The Spray Park is open May-September from 10am- 8pm Daily.
The walking trail was fund-raised for and built by the local Walking Trail Committee, the walking path covers a distance of 6km. It includes benches and flowers, and a significant portion of it is paved.
