*** This is a unionized position within the scope of a Collective Agreement between CUPE Local No. 2714 and the Town of Maple Creek. ***

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Abide by the Town of Maple Creek Occupational Health and Safety Program
  • Machinery and Equipment operating knowledge
  • Posses a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s License

           DUTIES:         Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Cemetery Caretaker is responsible for the overall safety, maintenance, daily operations, and ongoing development of the Maple Creek Cemetery. The successful candidate will ensure that grounds, equipment, and facilities are maintained to a high standard and that all work is performed in accordance with recognized best practices, applicable legislation, and municipal policies.

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

RATE OF PAY:           $22.12 per hour (2026 rate as per current Collective Agreement)

DATE RANGE:           May 4, to September 30, 2026

All Applicants must be Canadian citizens or have permanent resident status in Canada.  Proof of eligibility to work in Canada will be required prior to employment.  All successful applicants will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check prior to their start date.
